What is Raynaud’s Syndrome?

Raynaud’s syndrome is a medical disorder that is associated with improper blood flow to the extremities. In such a condition, an individual’s fingers turn white because of poor blood circulation that has been ceased or substantially decreased due to constriction of the blood vessels. Basically, the arteries have been narrowed or blocked over time. Usually, the affected organs are the fingers of the hand. Yet, in fewer cases, the toes can also become the victim.

Core Cause of Raynaud’s Syndrome

Most often, a patients’ episode responds to “primary” and “pivotal” feelings of “severe cold”, and “severe mental/emotional stress”. Primarily, each such episode may last for a few minutes up to several hours. Why suffer? It is better to get it diagnosed properly with the help of the Raynaud’s Syndrome Diagnosis equipment and get it treated clinically, medically, and appropriately.

More about the Raynaud’s Syndrome

This type of disease is divided into two main categories:

1. Primary Raynaud: It is the early stage of this syndrome. Generally, there is not any specific cause of this disease. It won’t induce much discomfort, but still, the sufferers have to bear pain and some uneasiness. Taking proper precautions against the cold and the stress may assist in coping at this stage.

2.  Secondary Raynaud: This is the higher level of the disease. Mostly, it is linked with a specific medical disorder (connective tissue disorder), like scleroderma or lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. It may be triggered by injury, smoking, or specific medications such as birth control pills. A patient must be very careful, as they can become a victim of skin ulcers, or gangrene in this stage.

Key Pointer: The persons who remain in contact with vibrating tools for an elongated time can become a victim of the secondary Raynaud’s Disease.

Treatment of Raynaud

At the latter stage, there is no specific cure for the disease. However, your GP could refer you to vascular specialists which have vascular medical devices to enable a diagnosis of this condition and its severity. The medications are specifically manufactured to minimize the frequency of the pain associated with such disease. These medications may assist in opening up the blood vessels to allow the blood to flow freely. Most of all, avoiding the cold and stress is the perfect treatment for the person suffering from Raynaud’s syndrome.
